Dave is from Denver, CO by way of Lincoln County, New Mexico. In Denver he was the sales manager and  a specification writer for one of the largest privately owned   commercial hardware distributors in the US.  While there he received certification as an Architectural Hardware Consultant,  Certified Door Consultant and is currently working towards certification as an Independent Fire Rated Opening Inspector.   In New Mexico, he was managing partner of three HWI hardware stores, all full service hardware, lumber and paint stores. Since moving to Florida, he has worked for Sumner HWI Hardware, Southern Paint and Yates Construction. During this time he has also been doing general  "handyman" work on the side.
